Case Study

Completed in 2018, these luxury penthouse apartments on Annie Street Kangaroo Point were one of the most coveted spaces to buy. Its stunning riverfront views, prime location, and own allotment with street-frontage access on three sides were significant draw cards. Parklane features fittings of Italian stone and luxurious home appliances and a virtual concierge that parks residents’ cars. Every detail in these luxury apartments was considered. And naturally, property managers and owners know that the most crucial factor when purchasing a property is to keep up to date with their property maintenance. But what happens when every facade maintenance company places these Parklane Apartments in the too-hard basket? This beautiful new building did not receive the maintenance and upkeep residents hoped would happen for three years. Annual inspections and facade maintenance are crucial not only to maintaining appearances but also to preventing structural damage. Parklane Apartments had zero access to the external facades of the building. Sustaining no room for manoeuvrability for either EWPs or scaffolding because of the proximity of overhead low-voltage power lines hindered access solutions. Based on the above scenario, it can be safely assumed that external facade maintenance was not done. Archers Body Corporate Management found it challenging to find a company willing to undertake the responsibility to prove otherwise.
And this is where Fidato stepped in.
After multiple site visits and liaising with Energex personnel, we managed to confidently and safely find a way to complete the works required. Strict safety protocols were implemented, adopting different techniques in our wash down procedures and appointing a safety spotter as a lookout. Lengthy groundwork with detailed prep work ensured successful completion within a two-week turnaround once given the all-clear to proceed! As a result, the residents were finally looking out of sparkling, streak-free windows for the first time since being built, free from years of dust build-up and grime!
